Two Turkish soldiers wounded in suspected PKK assault

AIRI (CIHAN)- Two soldiers were wounded in an armed attack by the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in eastern Turkish province of AIrI on Thursday as tensions in the region significantly escalates.

A group of PKK terrorists launched an assault on Diyadin District Gendarmerie Command with rifles and the skirmish continued for hours as the soldiers responded to the fire. At least two soldiers were wounded in the battle.

The wounded soldiers were taken to Diyadin State Hospital and later transferred to AIrI State Hospital. One of the soldiers is heavily wounded.
