Performance enhancement project will develop education — Min. Al-Essa

KUWAIT, June 2 (KUNA) — The implementation of performance enhancement project will create positive results aiming to develop education, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Bader Al-Essa said.
Dr. Al-Essa told reporters on Thursday while attending a forum on the section of performance enhancement at Fatima Bint Al Hussein Elementary School (Girls) in Jahra.
He said that the results would appear through implementing the project on the ground, adding that the project is part of plans prepared by developed departments at schools.
He added that it is an integrated project which is part of projects of the development plan of Ministry of Education, noting that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has not approved it yet.
For his part, Waleed Al-Gheith, head of Jahra Educational Zone, announced that the project would be generalized at all schools in Jahar.
The aim of project is to help schools join the project of developed departments at schools and enable teachers to deal with new criteria prepared by the National Center for Education development, he said.
Meanwhile, Education Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for General Education Affairs Fatma Al-Kandari said the initial results of general secondary school certificate are satisfactory and similar to the results of last years.
She added many students got high marks in French, noting that the general percentage will be announced after the minister approves it. She poined out that the exam went smoothly. (end)
