Minister of Transport: Digital government services jumped to 3,000 services

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) yesterday conducted the second annual Qatar Digital Government Training Program (QDGTP), under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications, in addition to a number of officials from various government entities.

The ceremony included the review of the training achievements of the program and the announcement of new partnerships and training plans for the year 2019. HE Jassem bin Saif Al Sulaiti graduated 24 graduates of the first class of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Training Program and 23 graduates of the second class of the IT Talent Program.

In a speech during the ceremony, Al Sulaiti stressed the existence of 3000 government e-services, both on smart phone apps or on the Internet, and he expressed the Ministry’s desire to access these services to a higher level of quality, to form the largest segment of services by 90%, so that all the government transactions will be completed without the need to visit the headquarters of the government entity.
