KUWAIT, June 24 (KUNA) — Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah stressed Kuwait media should shoulder great responsibility to support Kuwait’s image internally and internationally.
Sheikh Salman said on the sidelines of a Ramadan feast, hosted by Ministry of Information (MoI) on Thursday night, that this gathering of media personnel with artists and culturists will enhance and strengthen the relationship between them.
He wished for Kuwait, in this holy month, more years of prosperity under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Director General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah said to KUNA that these types of celebrations is a Kuwaiti tradition where it shows the correlation of the people and their harmony and love towards one another and the unity of Kuwaiti people.
He added that he values the ministry’s efforts for organizing these kinds of celebrations that bring, media, art, and culture sectors together in a memorable night.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij also congratulated the political leadership on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, wishing more prosperity to come for Kuwait and Kuwaiti people under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister.
Moreover, Ministry of Information Undersecretary Tareq Eid Al-Mizrem said he was thrilled to see all of these communities come together from the press; television, radio and theatre where they get to interact with each other in a friendly atmosphere.
The celebration was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Information, KUNA, and National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL), Kuwait’s National Library, and also a huge number of media personnel, culturists, artists, journalists, citizens and residents. (end) mdm.mys
