Iraqi Gov't earmarks USD 7.7 for embattled civilians

BAGHDAD, June 7 (KUNA) — The Iraqi Government has earmarked USD 7.7 million worth of aid for civilians fleeing the embattled town of Fallouja, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.
The allocated fund will be disbursed for securing necessities for civilians in Al-Amriyah, Al-Fallouja, Al-Khaldiya and Tourist City in Al-Habbaniyah.
It quoted Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi as praising human treatment of the relocated civilians by the government forces and warned he would punish those who might involve in arbitrary acts against them. (end) ah.rk
