First Encyclopedia of Plants in Qatar and Eastern Arabia Unveiled


The Gulf Organization for Research & Development (Gord) launched the first Qatari encyclopedia of its kind of plants in eastern Arabia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Public Parks Department, at the eighth Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ), and the second Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ), at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

It took seven years of field research to prepare the encyclopedia, in addition to the use of hundreds of specialized scientific references by a group of experts and specialists in the Gulf Organization, to be issued the encyclopedia in six volumes covering nearly 2,500 pages, which provides a comprehensive guide on growing plants in climate And desert terrain in Qatar and eastern Arabia.

The encyclopedia is distinguished by integrating the economic, medicinal and environmental engineering uses of plants, while providing qualitative and up-to-date information for professionals working in different sectors, such as architecture, health, medicine, green space engineering, and others.
