Al Maktoum College celebrates graduation of 16th batch of ‘Multiculturalism and Leadership’ programme

WAM DUNDEE, 4th September, 2013 (WAM) — Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Founder of Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education, Dundee, Scotland, the college has celebrated the graduation of the 16th batch of its Multiculturalism and Leadership programme.

Around 50 female students from seven government and private universities participated in the course.

The ceremony, held at the headquarters of Dundee City Council, was attended by, among others, Dundee Deputy Provost, Christina Roberts on behalf of Bob Duncan, Lord Provost of Dundee, Mirza Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College, members of the Board of Directors of the College, and heads, directors and officials of the Universities participating in the training course.

In a speech during the ceremony, Mr. Al Sayegh conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid to the students participating in the programme, wishing them success in their future lives.

He also stated that Sheikh Hamdan hailed the efforts undertaken by the universities participating in the programme, pointing out the cooperation between them and the Al Maktoum College. He added that the courses carried out by the college over the past ten years had achieved remarkable success and in light of this success, plans were put on for the development of this programme in the coming years.
