12 Americans injured in Brussels attack

WASHINGTON, March 23 (KUNA) — Approximately 12 Americans were reported injured after yesterday’s terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium as the US continues its assessment of the incident, according to State Department Deputy Spokesperson Mark Toner.
There are no reported American deaths but a “number of US citizens” remain unaccounted for, Toner told reporters.
“We still have not accounted for every official US government employee or their family members on the ground in Brussels,” said Toner.
“Partly that reflects the size of the mission or three missions, there’s a bilateral mission, there’s a mission to the EU, as well as a mission to NATO.” (end) ak.ibi
