Turkish province Bursa to open immigration museumA museum documenting the 8,500-year-old history of immigration to Bursa will be opened in the city at the end of next month, Turkish news agencies reported on Thursday.Bursa G Tarihi Muzesi (Bursa Immigration History Museum) will be launched at the east entrance hall of the cityandrsquos Merinos Ataturk Congress and Culture Center Commissioned by the Bursa Greater Municipality and completed in one year by a private construction firm, the museum has been established after delving into the archives of universities and conducting face-to-face talks with the living members of families who moved to BursaThe museum particularly focuses on immigration to the areas of UlupInar and YeniIehir made 8,500 and 7,500 years ago, respectively.

Immigration from the Balkans and Caucasus have also been included in the chronologically arranged sections of the museum The visitors will also be able to learn about the changes the city went through with the immigrations and the current state of BursaandldquoA new memorial [to the history] of the city has been established thanks to this museum,andrdquo Recep Altepe, the mayor of Bursa, told the Cihan news agency.
