Turkey’s Zeytinli Rock Festival returns with all-Turkish lineupTurkeyandrsquos Zeytinli Rock Festival is returning this summer after a three-year hiatus following its 2010 edition with an entirely Turkish lineup of rock and heavy metal acts.The psychedelic band BaBa ZuLa, rockers Mor ve tesi and heavy metal acts Pentagram and Hayko Cepkin will be performing live later this month in Zeytinli, a usually quiet coastal town in the Aegean region near Edremit in BalIkesir province.

A total of 22 singers and bands will perform in the four-day festival, set to run from Aug. 28-31 on Dalyan Beach.

The festival, which also offers a campsite, will open on Aug. 28 with a welcome party where Turkish rock band Metropolis will play live.

Performers on the second day include the veteran Anatolian rockers MoIollar, followed by a midnight performance by the alternative rockers Mor ve tesi.Organized by Arpej Productions with support from the local Edremit Municipality, the festival will host BaBa ZuLa for an evening performance on its third day, followed by indie rockers Buyuk Ev Ablukada at 9:30 pm Rock band Duman will bring the festivalandrsquos third day to a close with a midnight gig.

Singer-songwriter Ogun SanlIsoy will take to the stage at 8 pm on the fourth day, which will be headlined by heavy metal singer-songwriter Cepkin and Pentagram Cepkinandrsquos concert is scheduled for 10:30 pm and Pentagram, often billed the pioneers of Turkish heavy metal, will wrap up the festival with a midnight concert.
