KUWAIT, March 19 (KUNA) — Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and an accompanying delegation left for the Zambian capital city of Lusaka, on Saturday to participate in meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s (IPU) 134th conference, due on March 19-23.
Al-Ghanim will give Kuwait’s speech before the conference, held under the theme “Democracy Renewal – Granting Vote for Youth.” Al-Ghanim is leading a delegation from the caucus, which would participate in meetings of the standing committees of international peace and security, Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade, Democracy and Human Rights, and UN Affairs.
The delegation consists of MPs Faisal Al-Shaye, Awda Al-Rowaie, Hamdan Al-Azmi, Khalil Abdullah, and National Assembly Secretary General Allam Al-Kandari.
The delegation was seen off at the airport by deputy speaker Mubarak Al-Khurainej, and Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Parliament Affairs Ali Al-Omair. (end) fs.bs
