Following is the full statement of H.H. Sheikh Saud to ”Dira’a Al Watan” magazine on the 42nd National Day anniversary.

”The 42nd National Day anniversary is a great occasion to mark the inception of the U.A.E. Union, a fulfillment of a dream of the forefathers who exerted their utmost efforts to make it a reality.

As the spirits of the founding fathers celebrate their success story, toady we also observe the grand feat that evokes in us joy and pride about the common identity of the U.A.E. people who overcame the divisions. We pay a glowing tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Our Union has presented to the world a distinguished model of state growth and a unique success story that earned applause and appreciation from the world in terms of the welfare state and urban development, to the extent that many people across the globe wished to be Emiratis.

The call for excellence has become a watchword for this generation, upon the directives of the leadership to sustain gains in all fields. It is a test in which each in his field looks to further excel and innovate. For instance, renewable energy projects that have become reality, and natural sources of energy.

As we pledge allegiance to the leadership, the development project plans take many issues into account to sustain welfare and strengthen institutions.

We also praise the move of the Federal National Council to discuss the demographic structure issue in its third ordinary session of the 15th legislative chapter.

May almighty Allah bestow His care on the U.A.E. leaders and inspire them to continue their development efforts across the country.” WAM/MN/CM WAM/TF
