Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has launched the first phase of its e-licensing system, which will enable hotel establishments to renew their licenses within a period of 24 hours.

The system will also help hotels apply for a new license without going through the burden of paper work and complete various other procedures related to QTA.

The e-licensing system has two phases. The first phase, designed especially for hotel establishments, was launched at the fourth Annual Tourism Industry Ghabga on Thursday. The second phase will be for the tourism-related businesses, and is expected to be rolled out later this year.

The system can be accessed through QTA website, both in Arabic and English. By signing in with their Hukoomi log-in, hotel establishments can now conveniently complete the procedures required for the issuance, amendment, renewal or cancellation of tourism licenses.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Annual Tourism Industry Ghabga, QTA Chief Tourism Development Officer, Hassan al Ibrahim, said: “With the launch of the e-licensing system today, we have achieved the first milestone which focuses on the needs of the hotel facilities in Qatar.”
