ALGIERS, Dec 20 (NNN-APS) — Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia received here Tuesday the visiting Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, who is on a working visit to Algeria.

Also present during the meeting was Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel, who held discussions with his Qatari counterpart on Monday during which the Qatari foreign minister expressed his country’s willingness to strengthen co=operation with Algeria in all sectors, notably especially industry, agriculture and tourism.

The talks between the two ministers focused mainly on the regional and international situation, notably the Palestinian issue, the Qatari minister disclosed his meeting with Messahel. The two minister underlined the Algerian and Qatari positions and unfailing support to the right of the Palestinian people to establish the State of Palestinian, within the borders of 1967, with Al Quds as its capital.

Sheikh Mohammed underlined the rejection by Qatar of the American decision to relocate the US Embassy in Israel to the occupied city of Al Quds, broaching an obstacle to the peace process in the region.

The Qatari Foreign minister also said that this meeting allowed the two sides to enquire about the findings of the tripartite ministerial meeting involving Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia on Libya, emphasizing Algeria’s key role in reaching peaceful solutions to the Libyan crisis
