The State of Qatar, represented by the Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Al Kuwari, participated in the meetings of the fifty-fourth ordinary session of the Arab Health Ministers’ Council, which was held Monday via videoconferencing.
The meeting reviewed several key topics including the repercussions of coronavirus pandemic (COVID-) on the health sector in the Arab region, the Arab-American cooperation in the fight against coronavirus, Arab-Chinese cooperation in the health field and the Arab transport ministers’ council decision No. 488 pertinent to resumption and recovery of Air travel.
The meeting also discussed the Arab strategic Action plan regarding the access to public health services for displaced and asylum-seekers in the Arab region; standardization of Arab health legislations; improving maternal, children and adolescents’ health; as well as Arab strategy for the elderly, health and environment.
