Number of Najaf Attack Casualties Rises to Seven

Baghdad, The number of people killed in an explosion that targeted a security checkpoint in Iraq’s Najaf has risen to seven, five of them are police personnel. There are also 15 people injured.

Iraqi police said in a statement that three armed people attempted to drive a car bomb into a security checkpoint, but the forces confronted them. The statement added that the police personnel managed to blow up the car bomb before it hit the security checkpoint and killed all the terrorists inside it. However seven others were killed and 15 others are injured, some of them seriously.
