KUWAIT, March 10 (KUNA) — The fire station at the Kuwait International Airport was re-opened on Thursday after an overall maintenance and upgrading.
The upgrading of the airport’s fire station included adding 11 fire engines and other equipment, to cope with the standards of international aviation safety, Deputy Director General of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) for Fighting Sector Major General Jamal Al-Bulaihees told a ceremony.
He added that the successes achieved by the KFSD were based on values of cooperation and collective work.
Meanwhile, the Amiri Diwan has recently offered the KFSD a decommissioned Airbus for training purposes on fighting fires and other accidents on deck, Al-Bulaihees said highly appreciating the Diwan’s limitless support to the state institutions.
The KFSD senior official thanked the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), the Interior Ministry, of Interior, the Kuwait Airways for their cooperation and assistance. (end) amn.abd.msa
