Jordan Response Plan for Syrian Crisis Approved

Amman, Jordan’s government and the international community approved the 2017-2019 Jordan Response Plan (JRP), during the ninth meeting of the Jordan Response Platform for the Syria Crisis here on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Jordan’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury, a number of ministers, ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries to Jordan, the UN resident representative as well as representatives of Un organizations.
Jordan’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury said the cost of the plan stands at $7.6 billion with an average of $2.5 billion annually for three years.
He said the plan was prepared based on Jordan’s Response Plan to the Syrian crisis (2016-2018) and on a thorough analysis of sectoral needs at the level of refugees and host communities.
Fakhoury urged the international community to support Jordan to enable it to continue its services to the refugees.
