France, Iran sign accords in key sectors

PARIS, Jan 28 (KUNA) — French and Iranian officials, during the Iranian president visit to France, signed on Thursday cooperation accords and protocols including an agreement to sell Tehran 118 Airbus aircraft worth USD 25 billion.
The French Presidency said in a statement that the deals were signed at the Elyse, with presence of the Iranian, French presidents and senior officials from the two sides.
According to the aircraft deal, Teheran will acquire 118 planes for medium and long-distance flights, including 73 large ones and 45 with a single aisle.
The accords dealt with mutual cooperation at the political, economic, cultural, environmental and space levels. The inked protocols were in the realms in financial, industrial, transport, communication, agricultural and educational fields. (end) mmb.rk
