(WITH POL-KUWAIT-YEMEN-MEETING) KUWAIT, June 1 (KUNA) — First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah held a meeting on Wednesday with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, attended by the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani at Bayan Palace.
The GCC chief, during the meeting, renewed support for the UN envoy’s efforts “aimed at making success in the Yemeni consultations hosted by Kuwait for restoring security and stability to Yemen and stop spilling blood of the brotherly people.” The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Bureau’s Affairs of the First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, Ambassador Dhari Ajran Al-Ajran, Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol Affairs, Ambassador Nasser Al-Mzain, Assistant Foreign Minister for GCC Affairs, Ambassador Salem Ghesab Al-Zamanan, Ambassador Fahad Al-Mei’, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Yemen, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hain, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations, and senior Foreign Ministry officials.
