KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) — Issuing new laws on pocket money for patients treatment abroad is part of Kuwait’s policy to protect the country’s budget, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Health Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
The new measures aims to cutting unnecessary spending for both patients and their companions, the minister said during the National Assembly’s ordinary session on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, he noted that Kuwait has recorded over 7,000 cases sent for treatment abroad in 2015, adding that limiting the budget for the patients was approved by the Cabinet. (end) ag
