Coalition conducts 14 more airstrikes against IS

WASHINGTON, March 5 (KUNA) — Coalition military forces continued to attack the so-called Islamic State (IS), conducting 14 airstrikes throughout Syria and Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Saturday.
In Syria, the two airstrikes were conducted near Al Hawl and Palmyra. The coalition destroyed IS buildings, vehicles, fighting positions, and a tactical unit, the force said in a press statement.
In Iraq, 12 airstrikes were conducted near Al Baghdadi, Albu Hayat, Fallujah, Kisik, Mosul, Qayyarah, Ramadi, Sinjar, and Tal Afar. The coalition destroyed IS VBIEDs, fighting positions, tactical units, a staging area, a tunnel, and a rocket rail, it added. (end)
