UAE FOREIGN MINISTER BEGINS WORKING VISIT TO ALGERIA THURSDAY

ALGIERS, May 8 — United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan will make a working visit to Algeria from Thursday at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart, Ramtane Lamamra, says Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abdelaziz Benali-Cherif.

The two ministers will co-chair the 12th Algerian-Emirati Joint Commission Meeting, being held here on Wednesday and Thursday, Benali-Cherif told APS.

The visit is in line with the two countries’ desire to consolidate “dialogue and bilateral co-ordination on issues of common interest, further strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and co-operation linking the two brotherly countries”.

Benali-Cherif added that “this session will assess the bilateral co-operation since the last session, to develop a future action programme and consolidate the legal framework to enable renewed bilateral relations in the economic, commercial, investment and human resources sectors for the establishment of a complementary partnership”.
