Qatar Participates in Holy Quran Award Contest

Doha, July 23 (QNA) – Qatar is participating in the Dubai International Holy Quran Award Contest being organized during the period from 1 to 20 Ramadan, with participants from 90 countries.
 Representing the State of Qatar in the sixteenth round of the Contest is the Student Abdul Rahman Abdul Rashid  Sheikh Sofi.
 Head of Delegation to the competition Fahad Rashid Al Marri said that the contestant is very well prepared for this international competition, in which the State of Qatar achieved advanced positions in its previous versions. In last year’s contest, Abdullah Hamad Bosharidah achieved the sixth position in the basic competition and the second position in the competition of the most beautiful recitation.
 He stressed that the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has spared no effort in supporting the Qatari contestant and preparing him for the participation and optimal performance in the competition.
 The Qatari contestant Abdul Rahman Sofi said that he began his preparations for the competition three months ago, wishing to achieve a leading position in the competition. (QNA)
