Qatari-Saudi Workshop Focuses on Boosting SME Resilience

Doha:Qatar and Saudi Arabia: A joint workshop by the Qatar Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Saudi Arabia Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in partnership with Qatar Development Bank (QDB), was recently held to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adapting to regional changes.

According to Qatar News Agency, the webinar titled "Empowering SMEs to Adapt to Regional Changes" aimed to explore national, regional, and international practices and technological solutions that bolster SMEs' resilience and business continuity amid evolving regional developments affecting supply chains and financial flows.

The workshop addressed national measures supporting business continuity, regional cooperation methods to enhance corporate resilience, and the effects of regional developments on business environments. It highlighted technological solutions such as digital payments, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and smart logistics to prepare SMEs for changing circumstances.

Dr. Abdulaziz Khalid Al Ali, Managing Director of the Qatar Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, stated that the collaboration with Saudi Arabia and QDB underscores the importance of coordinated efforts and shared expertise to support SMEs. He emphasized the significance of knowledge sharing and technological solutions in enhancing SMEs' adaptability to regional changes.

This initiative is part of broader efforts to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange among government entities, the private sector, and experts, aiming to address challenges and opportunities related to SME resilience in the face of regional and international developments.
