Turkiye’s Inflation Rate Falls Below 30% for the First Time Since 2021

Doha:Turkiye's annual inflation rate decreased to 29.73 percent in September from 31.51 percent in August.

According to Qatar News Agency, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute indicated that the consumer price index rose by 1.84 percent month-on-month in September, while the domestic producer price index increased by 2.07 percent.

The report also showed that this decline marks the first time annual consumer price inflation has fallen below 30 percent since November 2021. Additionally, when calculated using 12-month averages, the consumer price index stood at 31.49 percent annually, while the domestic producer price index was at 27.81 percent.

The release of the September inflation data also determined the rent increase rate applicable in October, which reached 31.49 percent for residential and commercial properties. Economists had predicted a 2.18 percent rise in the consumer price index for September.
