Doha:Gold prices experienced an uptick during early Asian trading on Monday, driven by softer economic data that has led to diminished expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate hike this month.
According to Qatar News Agency, Spot gold saw a 0.3% increase, reaching $4,153.32 an ounce. Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery rose by 0.5%, settling at $4,182.40 an ounce.
In the market for other precious metals, spot silver rose by 1% to $60.97 an ounce. Platinum also saw gains, increasing by 0.4% to $1,705.70 an ounce, and palladium advanced by 0.7% to reach $1,176 an ounce.
