Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held discussions with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al-Saud, on Wednesday in Riyadh. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, exploring ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations, and promoting joint initiatives across multiple sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders addressed recent regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions, enhancing security, and stabilizing the region. The discussions also highlighted the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. Both sides emphasized the need for ongoing coordination and consultation to unify their positions on current issues, with the goal of reinforcing regional security and stability.

Additionally, the two sides reiterated their condemnation of Israel's rejection of the roadmap intended to implement US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan for resolving the Gaza conflict, as supported by UN Security Council Resolution 2803. They also condemned Israel's opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state, reaffirming their commitment to the peace process.
