Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly Dr Khalilur Rahman, who is currently visiting Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting began with HE Sheikh Mohammed congratulating Dr Khalilur Rahman on his election as President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly and conveyed his best wishes for success. The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to strengthen these relations.

Both parties delved into the latest regional and international developments and addressed several issues of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on potential cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations in tackling global challenges. Key areas of focus included peacebuilding, sustainable development, and climate change.
