Doha: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Syrian counterpart Asaad Al Shaibani engaged in a telephone conversation to address the ongoing Israeli policies contributing to regional tensions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministers expressed concerns over the recent Israeli attacks on Syria and highlighted the potential threats these actions pose to regional security and stability. They emphasized the need for the international community to take responsibility and intervene to stop these escalating actions.
Safadi reiterated Jordan's stance by condemning the Israeli military aggression on the Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase in Idlib Governorate, labeling it a blatant violation of international law and a severe escalation of existing tensions.
The discussion between Safadi and Al Shaibani also covered broader regional developments. Both ministers reaffirmed their countries' commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving security and stability, resolving sources of tension, and upholding international law and national sovereignty.
