EU Youth Short Film Festival 2025 Wraps Up in Doha, Pays Homage to Terrific Lineup of Films

Doha: The second EU Youth Short Film Festival 2025 wrapped up at Doha Sands Beach, having been organized to pay tribute to the power of youth-driven storytelling, cultural dialogue, and creative exchange between Europe and Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the festival was organized by the European Union Mission to the State of Qatar and spanned two days. It celebrated a series of short films that addressed subjects such as women's empowerment, identity, resilience, equality, dreams, imagination, and intrinsic strength.

HE EU Ambassador to Qatar Dr. Christian Tudor highlighted the festival as a celebration of young voices and the cultural bridges that art forges between continents. He pointed out that the diversity and depth of the event showcased extraordinary talent from both Europe and Qatar.

As the festival concluded, a lineup of films was honored for their visual narration and artistic innovation. The Best Film Award was awarded to the short film "Fragile," directed by Kholoud Al Ali, while the Best Screenplay Award went to "Pema," directed by Victoria Neto.

The awards were evaluated by a jury comprising Film Programmer and Curator Noor Al Nasr, Deputy Head of Mission of the Delegation of the European Union to the State of Qatar Angelos Lenos, Filmmaker and Founder of JaJa Film Productions Jamillah van der Hulst, and Film Consultant and Producer Conrad Alleblas.
