WhatsApp users will be allowed to share HD photos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Thursday on Instagram and Facebook.
The new feature that allows users to keep high-def resolution of their shared photos was previously tested with select users.
It was available through the Android beta version of WhatsApp and the TestFlight app on iOS earlier this summer, which suggests an imminent public launch.
To access the new feature, users are required to update their app to the latest release to be able to find a new HD button at the top of the photo-sharing screen.
