Oman, Singapore FMs Talk Regional Tensions, De-escalation Efforts

Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi has held talks with his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan, focusing on regional tensions. The discussions, held on Monday in Muscat, addressed recent regional developments and efforts to promote calm, with both sides exchanging views on ways to de-escalate tensions and encourage dialogue and diplomatic solutions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two ministers stressed the importance of political engagement in supporting regional stability, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of maritime transport and global supply chains. The talks also covered bilateral cooperation, including opportunities to expand ties in energy, transport, the digital economy, and innovation.

Both sides further reviewed preparations for the third round of strategic dialogue between Oman and Singapore.
