Doha: HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, has engaged in a series of high-level meetings with ministers and representatives from official delegations participating in the recently concluded MWC25 Doha conference.
According to Qatar News Agency, these meetings focused on enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation concerning digital transformation, the development of communications infrastructure, and the exchange of expertise on regulatory policies. Discussions also centered on exploring opportunities to build strategic partnerships that support digital innovation ecosystems.
In his meeting with HE Minister of Post and Telecommunications of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Sid Ali Zerrouki, HE Al Mannai discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of digital transformation. Similarly, discussions with HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Syrian Arab Republic, Eng. Abdul Salam Heikal, explored prospects for joint cooperation.
Further engagements included a meeting with HE Minister of State for Communications and Technology of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Ahmed Osman Diriye, and his accompanying delegation. The focus was on supporting the digital transformation process and capacity building in Somalia.
Additionally, HE Al Mannai met with a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, led by HE Minister of State for Information and Communications Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to explore cooperation opportunities in digital skills development and youth empowerment.
A delegation from the Republic of the Philippines, including HE Minister of Muslim Affairs, Sabuddin Abdul Rahim, and HE President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anonina Mangue, also met with HE Al Mannai. Discussions revolved around strengthening partnerships between the two countries.
