The World Health Organization (WHO) said Friday that COVID-19 will settle in 2023 to a level where it poses a similar threat to the seasonal flu.

WHO expressed its confidence that it can announce an end to the pandemic emergency sometime in 2023.

Director general of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus said that the current period has been the best across the globe since the onset of the pandemic. (QNA)
