A spokesperson for the British Prime Minister's Office said glorifying dangerous driving for online videos and entertainment was utterly appalling, adding that the government had raised the issue with social media companies following the tragedy.

According to Qatar News Agency, Andy Burnham also condemned those who post such content, saying anyone who glorifies dangerous driving is doing something that deserves condemnation. Concerns have been raised over a possible link between the crash and social media videos showing people deliberately driving dangerously, including traveling on the wrong side of the road, while passengers film the acts and post them online.
