Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said Friday that the Ministry of Trade and Industry has launched a national competition for locally-manufactured food and heritage products.
Organized in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the competition is scheduled to run on February 6-14, 2022.
Egyptian eligible producers could register for the competition through the link: https://egyptianfoodcontest.com/index.php/home or the branches of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC).
The competition serves raising awareness on the food heritage and protecting the Egyptian historical food identity for each participating country, in addition to supporting these sectors and their workers, especially after successful experiences for such competition in Switzerland, Tunisia, and Algeria, Gamea said.
