S’hail 2026 Showcases Qatar’s Cultural Heritage as a Global Platform

Doha: The 10th Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition (S'hail 2026) continued to draw citizens, residents, and visitors to Qatar on its second day, with brisk activity across the exhibition's pavilions. Visitors explored the latest products and their specifications and selected hunting equipment, supplies, and gear for desert and backcountry trips that suited their needs.

According to Qatar News Agency, the strong turnout underscored S'hail's growing prominence as an annual event that brings together enthusiasts of hunting, falconry, and Qatar's cultural heritage. General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) and Chairman of the S'hail Exhibition's Supreme Organizing Committee, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, stated that the exhibition had drawn a strong turnout since opening day, with 92,000 visitors registered on Tuesday. He highlighted that S'hail's 10th edition reflects the success of Katara's vision to transform cultural heritage into a living experience and a global platform.

After a decade, S'hail embodies a Qatari identity with a global reach, preserving Qatar's falconry and hunting heritage while presenting it through a technology-driven platform that creates new opportunities for businesses, markets, and tourism. Al Sulaiti emphasized that Katara aims to ensure heritage occupies a place in the future, not just in memory. S'hail exemplifies how heritage can become a cultural, economic, and tourism asset capable of shaping the future.

Al Sulaiti further emphasized that Katara has established itself as a hub for culture, business, and tourism, presenting Qatar to the world as a global destination for falconry, hunting, and desert trips. He added that S'hail's ambitions extend beyond organizational success to establishing a lasting global presence, aiming to become a global authority on falconry, hunting, and heritage.

S'hail has evolved from Qatar's longstanding falconry and hunting traditions into an international platform with a global reach. Participating companies are showcasing their latest products and advanced technologies, with pavilions featuring four-wheel-drive vehicles and caravans for desert trips and traditional hunting. Pavilions selling hunting firearms, ammunition, and related equipment also attract significant attention, with specialized companies from several countries showcasing a wide range of products.

Qatari companies specializing in hunting, falconry, and desert trips have a strong presence, offering innovative solutions that rival international offerings. These companies showcase products for hunting and falconry enthusiasts and those who enjoy desert trips, reflecting the growth of Qatar's local industry.

The DTS "Made in Qatar" pavilion stands out with innovative technology products for falconers and hunters, including drones developed to train falcons and improve their fitness. Featured products include the high-speed "Khazaz" drone, the "Ribda" designed for long-range, and the compact "Hafana."

The pavilion also features the "Qaffal" drone for marine fishing, capable of carrying fishing line and bait long distances at sea. Equipped with advanced guidance and control systems, it embodies the fusion of traditional practices with modern technology.

S'hail 2026 features five main sections covering hunting firearms, falcon sales, hunting equipment, hunting-vehicle outfitting, and restaurants and cafes. The exhibition also offers equipment for desert and safari trips, veterinary clinics, wildlife reserves, animal breeding facilities, and crafts and industries related to hunting and falconry.
