Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 95.84 points, or 0.85%, at the start of trading on Thursday. The index fell to 11,114 points from the previous session's close, influenced by downturns in all sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, several sectors contributed to the market's decline, including Consumer Goods and Services, which decreased by 0.22%, and Banks and Financial Services, which fell by 0.78%. Other sectors also saw declines, with Real Estate down by 0.81%, Industrials by 0.89%, Transportation by 0.93%, Insurance by 1.56%, and Telecoms experiencing the largest drop of 1.58%.
By 10:00 am, trading turnover had reached QAR 60.751 million, with 25.925 million shares traded across 5,889 transactions, indicating a cautious start to the trading day.
