Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Stamp Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, received valuable medals during its participation in the 39th Asian International Stamp Exhibition in Taipei.

The center participated with four showings of the stamps which received international medals.

The first regular stamps of Qatar (8 frames) received a gold medal (G), the postal history of Kuwait (8 frames) received a gold medal (V), the history of the stamps of Iraq under British occupation (8 frames) received a gold medal (V), whilst the Winnie Bear stamps (5 frames) received a silver medal (S).

The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Stamp Center is a member of the International Philatelic Federation (FIP), Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) and the executive committee of FIAP.

The center aims to strengthen the relations between centers, associations and institutions in the field. It also aims to exchange information and experiences to better promote the hobby and encourage its development and spread.
