Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signs an exchange of letters with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), supporting partnership agreement signed by QFFD’s strategic partner Education Above All (EAA), on the margins of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)

During the 77th United Nations General Assembly, Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed an exchange of letters with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), supporting the partnership Agreement between QFFD’s strategic partner Education Above All and GPE, on March 27, 2022. This exchange of letters took place at the State of Qatar permanent mission to the United Nation in New York City.

 

QFFD is contributing an amount of $20 million USD towards the education sectors in priority countries. This contribution is being channeled through Education Above All (EAA) to achieve inclusive education for all.

 

This signing is intended to ensure QFFD’s contribution to accelerating progress towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly SDG 4 – to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

 

QFFD’s funding grants and building of strategic partnerships ensures the spread of QFFD’s aim and mission to contribute towards the sustainable development goals, and to represent the State of Qatar’s readiness and commitment towards its provision of sustainable and available resources for communities in need around the world.
