Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Family Development Department, in cooperation with the Family Counseling Center ‘Wifaq,’ organized a dialogue session entitled “Inspiring Women in Qatar,” coinciding with International Women’s Day.
According to Qatar News Agency, Director of the Family Development Department at the MSDF, Dhabiya Al Meqbali, stated that this event affirms the MSDF’s commitment to supporting and empowering women across various fields. She remarked that the initiative aims to build a network of support and encouragement among women, while also highlighting the role of Qatari women in achieving sustainable development and contributing effectively to societal progress.
Al Meqbali emphasized that such events play a crucial role in raising awareness of women’s issues, providing a platform for building social networks among women, thereby enhancing opportunities for exchanging experiences across diverse participation areas.
The Director further highlighted that the event serves as an incentive for ambitious young women to achieve their goals. It sheds light on the challenges women face in different fields and explores innovative solutions to address them, in addition to enhancing the role of women both in the family and professional spheres.
The dialogue session gathered a group of inspiring female figures in Qatar, who shared their achievements and successful experiences across various sectors. It offered attendees the chance to learn from these experiences, which contributes to enhancing the role of women in all facets of social and economic life.
The session reviewed three main themes: Qatari Women: the journey of success and challenges; Women and the future: building future generations; and the balance between work and personal life. Participants shared their experiences, the challenges faced in their professional careers, and how they overcame them, while discussing how women can play a pivotal role in educating and guiding future generations, particularly young women.
The event attracted a notable number of interested individuals and participants from different ages and societal backgrounds.
