Oil Prices Decline Slightly Amid Middle East Geopolitical Developments

Accra:Asian trading Oil prices saw a slight decrease on Friday as investors evaluated geopolitical developments in the Middle East.

According to Qatar News Agency, Brent crude futures decreased by 41 cents, or 0.39 percent, reaching USD 105.51 per barrel. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell by 54 cents, or 0.55 percent, to USD 97.43 per barrel.

In the previous trading session, US crude saw an increase of more than 3 percent, driven by a significant reduction in US crude oil inventories.

This decline in prices comes after the International Energy Agency (IEA) agreed to release over 20 million barrels of diesel into global markets. This release, along with the remaining emergency reserve volumes planned for release last March, aims to increase supply and help control rising prices.
