Jordan Exporters Association Plans Expansion in Global Markets in 2024

Amman – Jordan’s Exporters Association (JEA) is set to participate in nine specialized international exhibitions in 2024, aiming to enhance the promotion of local industrial products and penetrate new, non-traditional export markets.

According to Jordan News Agency, JEA President Ahmed Khudari revealed the association’s plan, which includes showcasing Jordanian industries at various international exhibitions. The Saudi Food Manufacturing Show 2024 in Riyadh, specializing in packaging and food additives, and SIAL Canada in Montreal, covering all food sectors, are among the notable exhibitions. Khudari, in a statement to “Petra” on Saturday, mentioned other significant events like the 2024 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, Sial Paris 2024, and Gulfood Green in Dubai, focusing on the agricultural sector, vegetables, and fruits.

Furthermore, the JEA will facilitate Jordanian companies’ participation in exhibitions related to desserts, snacks, private brands, and the Gulf Industrial Exhibition in Dubai, which specializes in packaging and food additives. These efforts are part of JEA’s commitment to strengthening the foundations for Jordanian exporters, enabling them to increase exports, and enhancing their presence in the global market.

Khudari highlighted that Jordanian industrial companies’ participation in foreign exhibitions has been instrumental in expanding their market shares, establishing commercial partnerships, and opening up new, non-traditional markets. This presence has started reflecting positively on exports, which have entered an unprecedented growth phase in recent years.

The growth in industrial exports is expected to significantly impact Jordan’s national economy and growth rates in the coming years. Khudari also noted that despite some challenges, including the decline in prices of certain industrial products, industry exports from the beginning of 2023 to the end of August maintained their levels, reaching JD5.4 billion, similar to the same period in 2022.
