An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Kahramanmaras Province in Southern Turkiye on Thursday.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said in a statement today, that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers below the surface of the earth, and its epicenter was Goksun town.
There have been no reports of material or human damage as a result of the earthquake so far.
On Feb. 6, two earthquakes struck southern Turkiye and northern Syria with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6, followed by thousands of violent aftershocks, killing tens of thousands of people and leaving huge material damage.
