At least 20 people were injured in a train collision in the Minya Governorate in southern Egypt on Sunday, Egypt's Ministry of Health said. The injured were transferred to the hospital, with no fatalities so far, the ministry said. According to the Egyptian National Railways (ENR), a locomotive traveling from Qena collided with the rear of a passenger train heading to Cairo from Aswan, causing two of the trains carriages to derail into the Ibrahimiyah Canal. A committee will be formed to determine the technical causes of the accident. In March 2023, 4 people were killed and 23 others were injured in a train collision at Qalyub City Station in Qalyubia Governorate. Source: Qatar News Agency
