Cairo: The Arab League said it is closely following developments in Libya, noting that it will intensify its contacts and consultations in the coming period with various Libyan parties, concerned Arab countries, and the United Nations Mission, with the aim of enhancing prospects for consensus and bringing Libyans' views closer.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Arab League emphasized the need to build on all efforts that could help narrow differences among Libyans. The organization aims to create conditions for a transition to a more stable phase, ultimately leading to the end of the state of division, the unification of institutions, and progress toward the desired political and electoral milestones.
The Arab League stressed the importance of national consensus in ensuring Libya's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of its national decision-making processes. The organization remains committed to supporting Libya as it navigates its challenging political landscape.
