60,000 Palestinians Perform Friday Prayer at Al Aqsa Mosque Amid Tight Security Measures

Doha: 60,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at the Al Aqsa Mosque, despite strict Israeli occupation measures. Israeli forces prevented dozens of young men from reaching the mosque and arrested a young man at Bab Hatta in Jerusalem's Old City.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli occupation forces established iron barricades throughout the city's streets, around the Old City, and near the Al Aqsa Mosque. They stopped worshipers to check and record their identity cards, aiming to control access to the mosque.

These tightened measures coincide with ongoing settler incursions into Al Aqsa Mosque, which occur under the protection of occupation police. The security measures are part of an effort to limit the presence of worshipers in the mosque's courtyards, particularly on Fridays and during religious occasions.
