An earthquake measuring 5.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck on Thursday the US State of Alaska.
The epicenter of the earthquake occurred 41 km southeast of Sand Point city, at a depth of about 50 km, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage caused by the earthquake so far.
Alaska is located above the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area where tectonic plates meet, and the friction of which leads to strong seismic and volcanic activity.
