Syria and Sweden Explore Establishing Business Council to Enhance Investment

Damascus: Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al Shaibani, held bilateral discussions on Monday with Swedish Minister for Foreign Trade and Cooperation, Benjamin Dousa, and Swedish Minister for Migration, Johan Forssell. The talks focused on establishing a Syrian-Swedish Business Council intended to strengthen economic cooperation and encourage investment within Syria.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting, which took place in Damascus, involved a review of a number of bilateral files of mutual interest. The discussions also explored ways to address migration issues and streamline procedures related to refugees. Additionally, the ministers discussed means of developing diplomatic relations and enhancing channels of communication between the two countries.
